confluence
two
waters merge
confluence
big
with small
glide
seamlessly
without
disturbance
smooth
as satin
blending
no
agitation
trees
hang down
grazing
lips
kiss
the flow
twig
floats
part
submerged
bobs
its head
bubbles
pass
a
fairy dream
calm
composed
turbulence
beneath
unseen
confusion
placid
surface
this
confluence
where
waters meet
big
with small

Cuby, you do have a way with the words. And I love that a lot of your poems are about nature. There are so many beautiful places where there the rivers that meet up with the ocean. Your poem reminds me of these scenes. Have a Happy Sunday!
Ooooh, love it. I could picture just the place.

Have a wonderful week...

Reminds me of the time we played 'pooh sticks' in the dark, a lifetime ago. Wonderful imagery. It takes me back.
Oh so very lovely this poem is!! It's like I could see it! You are a real poet! :)
Happy Valentine Day! :)
I love the image of the trees in this poem. Very nice!
Doris: Oh Pooh Sticks such a brilliant game but how does it work in the dark?
So glad the imagery worked for you.

Al: I played with ways to describe the trees and this one worked for me so I am pleased it worked for you too. Thanks.
So beautiful. And I love the human-relationships metaphor (intentional or not). One of the joys of reading good poetry (like yours) is the joy of reading into it what has personal meaning for oneself (and THAT is clear as mud)!
Mitch Block: I do like writing poetry and to receive comments like these from some one who appreciates my efforts.Thank you so much.
