a hole in the sky

clouds of grey
multiple shades
jigsaw in the sky
moved by the air

low level hanging
threatening showers
blown west to east
racing the wind

above and so high
white of a swan's wing
appears in a flash
before melting away

now mare's tails
visible through
 window in grey
wispy untouched

the grey pulls apart
white dissipates
perfect blue
purest of pure

for a magical moment
look into space
through
a hole in the sky

Kind of like our grey snowy skies!

Ina in Alaska: Glimpses of blue are just so appreciated through the grey. I hope that you will get the occasional glimpse in your snowy sky.

I love making shapes from the clouds. I'd forgotten how much until I read this. I shall go and read it again. Thank you.

A perfect sky, the sort I can sit and watch for ages.

Doris: There are no clouds in the sky today just blue which is great. Glad you liked this poem.
