OLYMPICS

I hope you watched the opening ceremony.
I thought it was great and hope you did too.
It felt good to be British!

Over here in Canada, lots of us watched. I also liked the ceremonies, especially the focus on history, song, literature and children.I'm of English descent so I felt very much at home watching the show. Well done!

I didn't, but I am glad that London put on a good show!

Just saw some bits and pieces, lots of fun to be around.

I did, I did, and I enjoyed it very much, too. Quite spectacular and imaginative. ~karen

I wasn't expecting it to be so enthralling but it was and I loved every moment! Definitely proud to be British.

Your poem for Bernard was very moving and I loved the one before it. What a strange Summer it is, so very disappointing for Nature lovers!

I am so sorry I missed it. I was away but when I saw highlights in the news I wished I had recorded it! It looked like so much fun!

Yes, I did. I loved it!

ShySongbird: It is raining yet again. I am sure the butterfly population is suffering, bumblebees seem to much fewer in the garden too. Very worrying.

Kathie Brown: You're right it was so much fun.

Welshcakes: I have only found one person who didn't like it!

I did and I thought it was wonderful :-)

I am not into sport at all, but this year I seem to be caught up in it all. The atmosphere, the tension, the fun and the way the British spirit seems to have won through on its home ground.

I love it :-)

CherryPie: It is all so much fun.

Hi again!
I am not very interested in sports on TV, but I did watch the opening, it was amazing!! I just loved it! :)

and I did follow some handball games.. :) and some swimming..

Viola: I have relatives who got tickets for the handball not a sport here in the UK but I once saw a game in Denmark so I am sure they must have had a great time.

It was pretty special Claire, although I fail to see the significance of the 'Ban the Bomb' sign, other than a political statement which was neither the place nor the time for such.

Cuby said...

Roy: There is a time and a place for everything and this was ill timed and not necessary at this event. Silly.
