Honeysuckle perfumes

pervade my garden

hedgerow now green

stitchwort cascade.

Bumble bees eden
sounds in the air
activity surrounds

glorious world.

Air growing chill

light fades into dusk

swallows are feeding

swooping dancing.

Goldfinches feeding

moths begin to appear

quietening garden

bat flits then another.

Tawny owl hoots

so nearly dark

crescent moon shining

air is so still.

Time to retreat

from my elysian garden.
